Merchynt's Paige is an AI-first product: it publishes posts, uploads media, drafts review replies, suggests website and schema changes and reports rank heatmaps, with a white-label agency programme and citation and review services as priced add-ons. If you want a tool that quietly gets on with it, that is the pitch.
People looking for a Merchynt alternative usually want the same AI leverage with the handbrake still connected. Google suspends and rejects content for reasons that are not always visible, and a client's profile is not a good place to discover that after the fact. GBPly generates the work for you and then makes you the last step before anything reaches Google.
Paige is a legitimate competitor with real coverage, and pretending otherwise would not help you choose.

This is a difference of control and structure rather than coverage. Both products will write your posts; they disagree about who presses publish.
Generated posts, replies and Q&A land in a queue you review. Nothing reaches a client's profile because a schedule fired while you were asleep, and clients can be given approval rights of their own in the portal.
Every post, update and scheduled item passes a check built from Google's content rules and an editable wordlist. Blocked content is stored as flagged with the reason attached rather than failing silently at Google's end, and replies are screened against the patterns Google quietly drops.
Posts are generated from a crawl of the business's own site, so they name real services and areas and cannot invent URLs. You can see and edit what was written, and refine it without disturbing the schedule.
Clients live in separate workspaces with their own branding, limits, connectors and members, each tied to a Google account, with optional workspace-wide two-factor authentication. Agency operations need boundaries, not just automation.
Unauthorised edits are surfaced as side-by-side diffs with one-click revert and a full audit trail, and profile changes appear as markers on the Rank Replay timeline so you can connect an edit to a ranking movement.
Grid scans build an animated ranking history with date-range and speed controls, GIF export for reports and playback inside the client portal — a before-and-after you can hand to a client.
The same audited data as our full comparison matrix, narrowed to the capabilities people weigh when they look for a Merchynt alternative. Where Merchynt charges separately for something we mark it as a paid add-on, and where we could not substantiate a capability from their own material we mark it "not documented publicly" rather than claiming it is missing.

Merchynt's agency programme prices the agent per profile and sells citations and review services as add-ons. That can be efficient if you want those services delivered rather than run in-house.
GBPly is $39 per profile per month for Business and $69 for Agency, monthly or annual, with no contract and no service add-ons to buy: review campaigns, grid tracking with Rank Replay, the white-label portal and your own email and SMS senders are inside the tier.
GBPly does not sell citation building at all, so if that is part of your package it stays with a citation vendor. Price the comparison on the total of what you would actually buy, not the entry line.
One profile, 200 review request emails and 200 AI credits a month. Business x10 covers up to 10 profiles.
Unlimited review request emails and AI credits, the white-label client portal, custom email and SMS connectors and agency branding. Agency x10 covers up to 10 profiles.
Monthly or annual billing, no long-term contract, and a free trial on paid plans. See the full plan breakdown.
If you want profile work to happen with minimal involvement — a genuinely hands-off agent publishing on a cadence — Merchynt is designed for that and GBPly deliberately is not.
It is also the better fit if you want citation building and review services bought as done-for-you add-ons from the same vendor, or if website and schema suggestions beyond the profile are part of the value you want.
GBPly is the better fit if a client's profile being edited without your sign-off is unacceptable, if you need team roles and per-client isolation, or if you report on ranking movement rather than activity.
Connect the Google account that manages the profiles and choose which locations to bring in; live profile data, reviews and performance history sync from Google's API, so there is no export or import step.
If an agent has been publishing on your behalf, review the last few weeks of posts before you switch so you know what is live, then generate a fresh content plan in GBPly and approve the queue. Anything the policy gate flags is worth reading — it usually points at habits worth dropping.
Set up workspaces per client, apply your branding, connect your own email and SMS senders, and send clients a portal link when you are ready for them to start approving and uploading.
Connect your Google Business Profile, run a grid scan and generate a month of posts on the free trial. If it isn't a better fit than Merchynt for your work, nothing to cancel beyond the trial.
